JAMMU: Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday said people have rejected the divisive politics in Jammu and Kashmir which was responsible for seven decades of suffering.
Addressing a joining programme here at the Apni Party Office, Gandhi Nagar, Altaf Bukhari said that Apni Party is committed for equitable development without playing with the emotions of the people.
In this programme, prominent social activist and former general secretary of Bar Association, Samba, Lovely Mangol joined Apni Party with his supporters. They were welcomed into the Party by Altaf Bukhari sahab. Apni Party State General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya, Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh and other leaders of the party were present on the occasion.

In his speech, Bukhari hoped that his joining would strengthen the party in Samba district and expressed gratitude towards the people who have expressed their faith in the party and its leadership.
He said that the people have accepted the politics of development and rejected the politics of hate and division.
“We promise what is achievable without misleading the people to gain their support. The people of J&K have remained the victim of these traditional political parties who promoted divisive politics and restored to emotional sloganeering,” he said.
He said that “We believe that the issues of Jammu as well as Kashmir Regions are similar and their concerns must be addressed equally by providing them equal opportunity with regard to development and employment.”
He said that the unemployment which has grown from the last several years needs to be addressed timely before it is too late by the Govt but the LG administration has failed on all fronts.

“The bureaucracy has been creating hurdles and delaying the development. Shockingly the recruitments turned out to be major scams in J&K and it has shaken the faith of the unemployed youth on the recruitment agencies. It was claimed that the recruitments would be conducted with honesty and transparency but the opposite is happening,” he said.
He said that “These things can be corrected when there is a popular Govt in J&K. Hence, the holding of assembly elections is a must and the restoration of statehood will restore the lost faith of the people in the Govt and in the administration.”
He said that the Apni Party is committed to protect the rights of the people and the natural resources of Jammu and Kashmir for the local residents.
“The people in Kathua, Samba, Jammu and other districts have serious objections against the outsiders grabbing their natural resources, contracts and other sectors due to which the locals have lost their source of earning,” he said.

He said that the industrial sector established in Samba and Kathua districts have employed outsiders.
“Employment must be reserved for the local unemployed youth in the industrial sector in J&K and accordingly required skills should be provided to them so that the growing unemployment issue can be addressed,” he said.
He also demanded advertisement of all the vacant posts in various Govt Departments for fast track recruitment and special on the spot recruitment drives for the border residents of J&K in security forces.
