Srinagar, Aug 23 : Two more hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir have got National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) recently accorded the NQAS certification to these PHCs for the maintenance of high standards of quality and performance by these hospitals.
These two hospitals include PHC Kakapora Pulwama and UPHC Shastri Nagar Jammu.
The Primary health Centre Kakapora Pulwama received an overall grade of 82.07% and met all of the NQAS requirements in all six departments. The National Health Mission of J&K aided in the certification procedure.
The PHC was assessed by a team of certified empanelled External Assessors from 15 to 16th of July this year.
The UPHC Shastri Nagar Jammu received an overall grade of 91.4% and met all of the NQAS requirements in all 12 departments. The National Health Mission of J&K aided in the certification procedure.
The PHC was assessed by a team of certified empanelled External Assessors from 18th to 19th of July this year.
Earlier PHC Sheeri has become first Public Hospital from Kashmir Division that has been granted the NQAS certification last year—(KNO)
