Srinagar, July 25 : Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday asserted that Article 370 has “gone forever”, despite several statements made by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti that they would bring it back.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bukhari said that power hungry politicians say they will bring back Article 370, “but I say Article 370 has gone forever and will never come back so we should not trust on them.”

He, however, hoped that the matter is currently in the Supreme Court and decision may be in favour of Kashmir.

Bukhari said that Apni Party will not let down the people of J&K as the party, unlike the conventional political parties. “We have set achievable goals to ensure a better future for the people, especially the youth.”

He added that they will not disappoint anyone. “Our policy and goals are unambiguous and attainable. We want sustained peace here so that people could reap its benefits in terms of their political and economic empowerment. A peaceful atmosphere in J&K will fetch us everything that matters to the people.”

He also said that above all, a peaceful atmosphere will ensure a safe and secure future for the young generation and the generations to come.

Condemning the deceitful politics of the conventional political parties and so-called leaders, Bukhari said that the people have suffered hugely due to the deceitful politics of the conventional political parties in J&K. (KNS)
