Srinagar, June 21: The Kashmir Valley faces no flood threat, authorities said on Tuesday.

Deputy Director of the meteorological office, Mukhtar Ahmed dismissed any flood threat to the Kashmir Valley.

He told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a couple of days back people were complaining that there is a scarcity of water and where from now two days drizzle will become the source of the flood.

Kashmir Valley has been witnessing intermittent rainfall from past couple of days. On Tuesday, rains yet again lashed Valley, leaving people to speculate about the condition of the floods.

Mukhtar Ahmed said that the weather will improve from Wednesday late afternoon.

“There is no chance of any flood. Weather will improve on Wednesday,” he added. (KNT)
