Srinagar: Blaming a section of hate-mongering TV channels, Youth President JKPC Sheikh Mohammad Imran on Monday said these media channels are heavily infested with a religious mudslinging fest and urged the saner voices from all sections of society to come forward to stop this crazed TRP rat-race that has only created a massive wedge between different communities that normally have co-existed in peace & harmony for centuries.
Imran said the cycle of hurting religious sentiments on TV is only aimed to benefit such media houses monetarily, be it even at the cost of creating vicious discord amongst different communities. He asserted that action, reactions & counter-reactions to such malicious propaganda will only further widen the social division & add to the existing chaotic situation.
He urged all quarters to observe restraint and maintain calm besides not falling prey to this sensationalising propaganda and hate-mongering.
“At this time of misinformation and fact-twists, we need to expose these divisive forces and their malicious intentions that are hell-bent to create a wedge between the different communities by standing firmly united against these forces. We as Mulims have a duty to educate and disseminate the factual aspects of the illustrious biography of our Prophet (PBUH) which is crystal clear that resorting to violence can never help to rebut these false claims” he added.
Sheikh Imran said that our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when teased and troubled by Meccans simply ‘avoided them and it was always a gracious avoidance’ as per Quran (Surah Muzammil) and even though Muslims should speak against such mischievous and fringe elements but within the framework of Islam.
Urging to avoid communal hatred graciously by obeying Quran and following the Prophetic traditions in letter and spirit, Imran said that Islam is a religion of peace and Muslim are always peace-loving and peaceful so a Muslim can’t be violent because violence is simply unislamic. Let’s be a brave peaceful Muslim.
