Karnah: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Judge Javed Iqbal Wani, who is also the administrative judge of Kupwara district, on Sunday visited Tangdar and Teetwal areas of Kupwara district and reviewed the judicial profile of the border area. Upon arrival at Tangdar, the Justice was warmly welcomed and presented with a Guard of Honor. Justice was accompanied by Principal District and Sessions Judge Kupwara Taslim Arif. SDM Karnah Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Rather, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Muzammil Ahmed Wani, Judge Tangdar Iqbal Rafique and President Bar Association Karnah and other concerned civil and police officers were present. The Justice inspected the court complex Tangdar and reviewed the functioning of the court. The Justice had a brief meeting with the Principal District and Sessions Judge, President Bar Association and concerned officers and reviewed the progress of the proceedings. He said that various new and innovative methods are being introduced from time to time to facilitate the delivery of justice to the people. Justice Wani expressed satisfaction over the judicial services provided along with legal services.
Later, Justice Wani visited Teetwal, a border area on the LOC Zero Line. He inaugurated the camp court there and spoke to judicial and civil officials. Local public representatives thanked him for inaugurating the camp court.
People were made aware of the judiciary’s commitment to justice and their rights and social responsibilities.
