Pampore, Mar 9: Suspected militants shot at a Sarpanch in Khonmou area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that suspected militants fired upon the Sarpanch at point blank range, leaving him critically injured.
The Sarpanch has been shifted to hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
Police sources identified the victim as Sameer Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Rasheed Bhat.
He is the Sarpanch of Khonmou ‘C’ Ward. (Details Awaited) [KNT]
