GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 15: Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat (JKAS), on Tuesday, conducted a day-long holistic tour of Block Lar of District Ganderbal. He took on-the -spot stock of various ongoing & completed developmental works under different schemes in general and under Area Development Fund (DDC/BDC/PRI Grants) in particular.

 

He stressed upon the officials of the Block to speed-up the execution of these works while taking full advantage of the fair weather so that desirable targets are achieved within stipulated time without compromising over the quality of the works.

 

Later a meeting of all the officers/officials of the Block was also held within the premises of GHS Lar to review the progress of various works being implemented under various developmental schemes of the Department in general and under Area Development Plan (DDC/BDC/PRI Grants), MGNREGA & PMAY-G in particular. During the meeting the officers of the Block briefed the chair about the Panchayat Halqa-wise performance of the Block. A detailed discussion was held regarding targets and achievements in this regard.

 

The ACD hailed the role of all the officers/officials of the Block in achieving a considerable progress w.r.t. all the sectors. He stressed upon them to work with zeal and zest so as to excel during these two months of fag end of the financial year 2021-22.

 

He emphasized on working in mission mode to meet the desired targets and work meticulously while taking PRIs on board right from the step of planning upto the level of execution of all developmental projects.

 

Later, ACD Ganderbal conducted a brainstorming interactive cum grievance redressal session with the PRIs of the Block. He patiently listened to their legitimate grievances & appreciated their role for facilitating the department in achieving the desired targets viz-a-viz the execution of various developmental projects.

 

Among others, the meeting was attended by Hon’ble BDC Chairperson Lar alongwith Sarpanchs of the Block, Assistant Engineer REW Lar, Programme Officer (MGNREGA), Planning officials, Junior Engineers, Panchayat Secretaries, Technical Assistants, GRSs & other ministerial staff of the Block.

 

The Officer said that the inspection and public outreach tours of all the Blocks have been planned and will continue on routine-basis. General public of the area hailed this Public outreach initiative taken by the Department.
