Srinagar,12 Feb: Jammu and Kahsmir’s youngest elected representative and Corporator Srinagar Mancipal Corporation Aqib Renzu Shah on Saturday in an extensive tour of the Brein Nishat area of Khanyar Constituency in Srinagar

During the visit, Renzu was accompanied by senior officials of SMC, Socail Welfare, PDD, Revenue department, Irrigation and Flood Control Department and other allied departments. And met various local residents who informed him about their pressing grievances and demanded prompt actions by the authorities.

 

Renzu was apprised about the status of various ongoing developmental works being executed under the Smart City project besides the other works in progress.

 

In an official statement issued here, Aqib expressed satisfaction over the infrastructural upgradation in the area especially in the form of better inner roads, tiled lanes and alleys, proper drainage and an extensive installation of street lights. Also, issued on spot directions for the development of heritage market in Brein under Smart city project.

 

He also hoped that the public welfare works in this area will be further ramped up so that people have to face no inconvenience in whatsoever manner.  And urged local youngsters to take new initiatives and to opt various start-up schemes of UT and Central government.

 

“Various works have been completed, some projects are under pipeline including Street Lights, development of parks and new markets. In next years I commit to make my area an epitome of development, as I believe in leadership not in politics ” he said.
