Anantnag, Feb 3: Unknown thieves stole two dozen sheep from a tin shed in South Kashmir’s Anantnag village.

This cattle theft incident occurred during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at Lassipora Khrewan village of the district.

The owner of the livestock, Muhammad Yaqub Bhat told news agency Kashmir News Trust that thieves have cut a portion of the tin shed and stole 24 sheep worth lakhs of rupees.

“This live-stock was the only source of income for me. I have suffered heavily. We have informed police about the theft incident and I hope culprits will be nabbed and sheep will be given back to me,” Bhat said. (KNT)
