Kupwara : Doctor, Aap ke Dwar, one of its own kind of initative in which a medical camp was organized for locals of village Beyari along Line of Control by doctors of Indian Army, Shaktivijay Brigade. Beyari is a far flung village along Line of Control in Karnah Tehsil and not connected by road till now.
The village is only connected with foot tracks from nearest road head and generally remains cut-off during winters. Life for villagers is tough and gets tougher in winters due to bad weather and cold climate. The village falls in Tithwal block of Karnah Tehsil and villagers have to travel for long distance before they reach Primary Health Centre at Tithwal.
On Wednesday, during medical camp basic medical facilities were provided to 300 people including 70 women and 90 children. The medical team educated people about importance of personal hygiene in winters and sensitised them about COVID related precautions.
The doctors also exchanged their mobile numbers with villagers and assured providing medical consultation through telemedicine. The Sarpanch and Villagers thanked the Doctors for this initiative.
