2 drug peddlers held in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: District Police Ganderbal in its concerted efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, made yet another breakthrough in tackling Drug Peddlers/ Suppliers.

Acting swiftly, DO Police Post Nagbal, Sub Inspector Shri Fayaz Ahmad apprehended two notorious drug Peddlers at Bakura Crossings. The accused tried to flee away from the spot, but due to quick and timely response by Police party P/P Nagbal, both the Culprits were arrested and upon search, a consignment of contraband substance, 150 Grams of Charas was recovered from their possession. The said consignment was seized on the spot. The identification of the accused were ascertained as:
01. Gh Jaleena Bhat S/o Ab Rashid Bhat R/o Bakura
02. Gh Mohammad Wani S/o Asadullah wani R/o Ladhermar
Chowker Pulwama

In this connection, Case FIR No.02/2022 U/S 8/20, NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up.

Further, Ganderbal Police assures general public that severe action against drug Peddlers/ Suppliers will continue in future also.The responsible citizens of the locality are also requested to co-operate with the Police for eradicating/eliminating social menace like drugs from the society.
