Zorawar Garrison, with an aim to train teachers of Lolab on advanced and latest teaching methodologies, organised a workshop for Teachers of Lolab in collaboration with UK based *’Royal Society of Chemistry’* in a phased manner.
A six days online workshop starting from 24 Dec 21, over Zoom App was conducted by, “Royal Society of Chemistry” under ‘ Yousuf Hamied Inspirational Science Programme.
During the workshop, the resource person Mrs Padma Prabhu and the C-host Mrs. Karima Anjum focused upon technological tools that could be easily used by the teachers to make their classroom interactive and interesting. It is worth mentioning that the workshop was interactive and will be helpful in making students active learners in future.
In the workshop the teachers were also shown online demonstration on how to use teaching-learning tools like Mentimeter, Show me board, drawing mib, DARTS, Concept mapping, Tarsia Grids etc.
The teachers were distributed into smaller groups using breakout rooms feature available in Zoom. The participant teachers from various schools of Lolab got benefitted from this workshop and before the completion of the session today, they thanked the Indian Army for giving such an opportunity to attend the workshop. The resource person Mrs Padmaprabhu also thanked indian Army for providing platform to enhance the teaching skills of far flung areas of Lolab.
A total of 57 teachers from Army Goodwill School and Government school from Lolab valley attended the workshop and got benefitted. On successful completion of ‘Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Science Programme’ the participant teacher’s were rewarded with E-Certificate from ‘Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
