The Sopore Media Association (SMA) members Thursday held an interactive session with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla under the leadership of recently elected President Showkat Mohiddin Lone.
The representatives of SMA briefed the district head about the issues pertaining to the journalist fraternity.
DC Baramulla was also informed about various issues and problems faced by the people in Sopore town.
The journalist body demanded the overall development of Sopore.
The members of SMA also urged DC Baramulla to take steps for ensuring the safety of journalists while performing their professional duties.
While giving a patient hearing, DC Baramulla assured the journalists body that all their genuine demands would be met.
