Srinagar, Dec 16 : In the ongoing Inter-College Cricket Tournament, Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal in the nail biting finish defeated GDC Tral in the Semifinals by one wicket.

Chasing a target of 76 in the allotted 10 overs, GDC Ganderbal had the worst start with three down for 20 in 4 overs.

GDC Ganderbal Captain Shoaib and middle order batsman Shahid Sheikh, commonly known as Dhoni played sensibly and when College needed 28 of the last four overs, Ganderbal lost four wickets in quick succession.

In the final over of the match, Ganderbal had to score 10 runs with only one wicket in hand.

Left-hand batsman Adil managed to hit six in the penultimate ball of the match and won the match for Ganderbal.

Dr. Syed Inayat (PTI College) and Javeed Ah (LFE) cheered for the team during the entire match and guided them from time to time to clinch the win—(KNO)
