Safeena Beigh Chairs meeting at Uri, takes review of Developmental Works

Baramulla, December 15 : The, District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Baramulla, Safeena Beigh today chaired a meeting of concerned sectoral officers of Uri Subdivision to take a review of overall developmental works at Government Degree College Uri.

On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held wherein the concerned officers of various departments briefed the chair about the current status of developmental activities undertaken. They gave a sector wise briefing of different works and presented in depth details during the meeting.

After taking a detailed review, Safeena Beigh stressed upon the concerned agencies to expedite pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed well within a stipulated time frame.

While taking a review of Education and Flood Control Department, the DDC stressed upon the concerned to improve theirs performance in their respective fields besides directed the SDM to convene timely meeting with these departments exclusively to take review of their work progress.

Meanwhile, DDC strongly recommend that Gram Sabha must be conducted in each Panchayat to discuss and finalize the Plan Proposals under all the sectors and implementation of the schemes on ground.

On the occasion, DDC directed all the concerned officers to take up all the issues with regards to vacancies in their departments besides requirement of funds under approved plan infrastructure.
The DDC assured them that the same shall be taken with the UT administration for immediate redressal.

The meeting was attended by SDM Uri Harvinder Singh, PRIs, heads of concerned departments, among other functionaries.(KNS)
