Kishtwar: Kishtwar Police nabbed two more Forest produce smuggler and recovered 13 Sacks & 02 Bags of banned Forest produce weighing about 170 KG in Zelna area of Kishtwar.
On a specific information received through reliable source, acting swiftly a special team was constituted led by Insp Abid Bukhari Shah SHO PS Kishtwar laid a surprise naka at zelna area, under the supervision of SDPO Atholi Vikram Singh while checking of vehicles & pedestrian Police party stopped the vehicle bearing registration No. JK17-9486*, while checking of the said vehicle Police party recovered 13 sacks & 02 bags of banned Forest Produce weighing about 170 Kg. On questioning both accused confessed about smuggling of banned forest produce. The Police party arrested both the accused persons on the spot and seized the said vehicle also.
The arrested persons disclosed their identification as Ram Loki S/o Deya Krishan R/o Palali Padder & Sanjay Kumar S/o Bihari Lal R/o Pandail Padder.
In this regard case FIR No. 271/2021 U/Sec. 379 IPC, 26(3) part B Forest Act registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
