Srinagar, Dec 02 : Apni Students Union Provincial President Ibrahim Javid Shah on Thursday demanded that the current set for physical examinations must be taken in online mode keeping in view the recent spike in Covid-19 positive cases across the valley.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said that there have been numerous protests and pleas made by the KU Law students as well as by the students of affiliated colleges but the University administration seems impervious to their pressing concerns.
Shah said that the students, most of whom may not have received the dual shots of the requisite vaccine are being ordered to remain physically present in the examination centres while their lives remain at an imminent risk of contracting this dreaded disease.
“Various reports emerging out of University and the affiliated colleges regarding students getting infected must act as an eye-opener for the administration but regrettably they seem complacent and lenient over this looming threat,” he said.
On behalf of the Apni Students Union, he demanded that Kashmir University administration must reciprocate with the genuine demand of the students and announce to move the upcoming exams over online mode. (KNS)
