Rajouri, Dec 01 : Terming the movement and use of drones for smuggling of arms and narcotics as a big challenge, Deputy Inspector General of BSF Frontier Headquarters, DS Sindhu Wednesday said that anti drone measures are being put in place as part of “national guidelines on drone movement on borders.”

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), BSF DIG said that movement of drones on borders is a new challenge as these aerial vehicles are being used for smuggling of arms and ammunition along with narcotics on borders.

He said that drone is a new challenge and risk remains there on border.

“National level guidelines for drone movement have been issued and anti drone measures are also there at specified places,” DIG Sindhu said while talking to reporters on the sidelines of BSF’s 57th Raising Day function here.
