J&K Academy of Arts, culture and language, Srinagar in association with Sangeet natak academy, New Delhi, All J&K folk artist association and KUPWARA TERRIERS organised JASHAN-E- JAMMU & KASHMIR on 30 Nov 21 at Gulgam, Kupwara.
The musical fest was aimed at celebrating the rich musical heritage of Kashmir, creating an enabling environment for the local musicians to reach a wider audience through their songs and to promote local Kashmiri talent.
The event was kick started with local singers taking the stage and mesmerising the audience with their enthralling performances. Local sensations Addul Ganie Loan, Tanveer, Qazi Kashmiri folk theatre, Lotus cultural organisation, Alamadar Dance centre, Ladisha and Sharda folk theatre’s Kashmiri folk dances and music to include Baand-e-paether, ladishah, Rouf, Kashmiri Shakri,besides, Dambali Dance, Dogri Dance, Bachnagam and Solo performances kept the audience enchanted.
Lt Col Gaurav Pathania, 160 INF BN (TA)(KupwaraTerriers), Mr Gulzar Ahmad Bhatt, Chairman All J&K folk Artists Association and other government officials to include Mr Johar Ahmad, Assistant commissioner of Revenue Department and official from District Info centre were present in the cultural event.
In the end, Lt Col Gaurav Pathania expressed his gratitude towards the organisers and the artists for presenting such culturally rich performances.
