‘State Level Martial Arts’ Medalists Felicitated by Zorawar Garrison of Indian Army

Kupwara, Nov 29: In consonance with the ongoing celebrations for ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ & ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’, all kickboxing players, who got medals in the Game at ‘State Level Martial Arts Championship’ felicitated at Army Goodwill School, Krusan on Monday.

 

Recognising and rewarding Lolab’s best-ever performance at an Martial Arts, The Zorawar Garrison of Indian Army organised a felicitation ceremony at the AGS Krusan Sports Ground, in Krusan, on Monday, that had DSP Lolab, Principal AGS Chandigam, Principal AGS Krusan, officials from civil administration & Indian Army, parents and huge gathering (approximately 500) students in attendance.

 

Secretary of AGS along with DSP Lolab and both the principals led the felicitations where efforts of all medal winners from both the AGS; Krusan and Chandigam, who had made the Lolab proud, coaching and non-coaching staff were recognised.

 

The morning began with the felicitation of all the 23 medal winners, who trained at the Army Infrastructure for the Martial Arts Championship. All the 23 players who have participated in the championship are from AGS Krusan and AGS Chandigam, come up with glory for Lolab by winning 23 medals for Kupwara district that consists 09 Gold, 12 Silver 02 Bronze medals and making Kupwara District first in entire Union Territory in Championship.

 

The Medal Winners included Master Ayan (Gold Medal), Master Adil, Master Junaid Reyaz (Gold), Master Danish Akbar (Gold), Master Manan Mushtaq (Gold), Master Basharat Ali (Gold), Master Owais Nisar (Gold), Miss Tabish (Gold), Master Manan (Silver), Master Owais Tariq (Silver), Master Shayiak (Silver), Master Mehran (Silver), Master Suwaid (Silver), Master Arsalan (Silver), Master Umer Qayoom (Silver), Master Zuhaib (Silver), Master Reyan (Silver), Master Irfan (Silver), Miss Aiysha (Silver), Miss Saif u Nisa (Silver), Master Basit (Bronze), Master Azhar (Bronze), Master Yasir (Bronze).

 

The cultural events on the occasion was also performed by Children of AGS Krusan During the felicitation ceremony. Everyone in the district appreciated the success of winners from AGS Kusan and AGS Chandigam.

 

Notably, the Staff members of AGS Krusan Lolab and the management of Indian Army have been on the forefront in identifying young talent and providing the students with such opportunities wherein they can channelise their energy towards a competitive future.
