ANANTNAG — 19 Rashtriya Rifles conducted a 45 days cutting and tailoring course for the poor students which concluded on Monday at Larnoo area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
26 girls who participated in in the 45 days course were provided 16 free sewing machines and certificates after completion of course.
On the occasion, CO 19 RR Col. Manpreet Singh was invited as the chief guest. Whereas, B.D.C Larnoo, Mumtaz Khatana, along with various Panchs and Sarpanches were also present at the event.
Later on, company commander, Captain Pankaj, was highly praised for the event by the participants and the locals, where poor women can now earn and work, independently.
He further said that such events organising makes bond between the jawans and the awam stronger.(KG)
