Budgam: Two day district Budgam kalarippayattu Championship 2021- begins here at Life School Chararisharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.
The competition was organised by kalarippayattu association of Budgam and Dynamic sports academy Chararisharief.
The event saw the participation of male and female players from all clubs of the district.
All the participants were full of praise of the championship as they appraised the step taken by the coaches.
Kalaripayattu is an Indian martial art that originated in modern-day Kerala, a state on the southwestern coast of India and Kalaripayattu is known for its history within Indian martial arts.
This game includes strikes, kicks, grappling, preset forms, weaponry and healing methods.
Arshid Aziz, Secretary of Kalarippayattu Association Kashmir division, President Budgam Mr Shabir Ahmad, General secretary Budgam Tajamul Ahmad Khan and Joint secretary Budgam Prince Aqib who is also the coach of Dynamic sports academy Chararisharief was present on the event.
Coach Prince Aqib while talking to GMK Said that he is very much happy for the event, “different events are being conducted so that the participants get to see and experience various techniques of Kalarippayattu.
The players participating in various events also appreciated the initiative and hoped that it would help them build a future in the field of sports.
