The weaker sections of the society must not be underestimated or sidelined with the perception that they cannot participate directly or indirectly in the decision making policies of the government. There is a dire need to empower them as their active involvement in decision making will greatly help in their economic emancipation. The public spirited men and women should come forward and work with missionary zeal and spirit on ground towards establishment of society based on social justice, dignity and equality. The government must provide a platform and opportunities to the weaker sections as there are examples of several selfless leaders of the scheduled caste community who have worked tirelessly for the upliftment of the poor people. We all must strive to strengthen amity and brotherhood as all religions preach love, compassion and brotherhood and this message has to be followed in letter and spirit. We owe our posterity a better place to live in, which can be ensured only by emulating the spirit of sacrifice. The government must make headway with regard to empowerment of the weaker sections and ensure their socio-economic emancipation, especially on account of reservation in jobs, promotions and assistance in economic activities. This will prove a long way in bringing out positive change in the society.
