A very humble person hailing from remote mendhar area of district poonch, making marvellous and wonderful artwork through sketching that earn him lot of hearts from celebrity corners. MBA pursuing unsung artist begin to develop passion for colours and sketches right from the year 2018, when he somehow learn the art from YouTube platform. He carries the required guts enough to believe in “Never give up “. He has the power of self-esteem right from his childhood and never accepts defeats in life. Although, his artwork remains unsung and undiscovered, he did not break his passion off but continued to sketch various well-known personalities then and now. To his good luck, couple of well-known celebrities like Sahil Khan and Sonu Sood posted his artwork on their instagram stories that made him to gain some extent of fame and encouragement. He kept his master class artwork speaking wonders daily on his instagram handle where one can watch original and breathtaking strokes niche.
Surprisingly, he becomes the first such artist from UT of J&K who starts glue and dust painting tutorial on YouTube through his own channel “Anjum Sketching”. Greek philosopher Aristotle has rightly said that the aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things but their inward significance. Same story too revolve around his sketching and when asked him about the objective of making such artwork, he replied that it carries the love and peace to him. It gave him immense happiness and solace to sketch bigger personalities in his artwork. He has also drawn such sketches that carry thousands of stories and lessons that happen to highlight the plight of social evils happening in society at large dawn to dusk.
The only thing that cause hurt and haunts his head is the negative approach of people towards artists. He believes that it is very unfortunate that the local people do not find it interesting in any means. People generally do not know much about art or artists so there is bound to be some disapproval. When people do not understand his art, he does not feel discouraged. Rather, it inspires him to work harder and present something better. The critics give him another story to sketch. He also feels that artwork has helped him to understand life better and develop an optimistic outlook. He further adds up as the artist who is hailing from poonch- a borderline area has no expectations left from government or local community to support him in his endeavour.
Artist in other parts of the planet looked upon as heroes for obvious reasons. The deserving artists usually accuse our society of bias. With such obstacles, he insists to use social media as a means where any artist portrays his/her sketches to the whole world. Social media was bliss for him as he could connect with like-minded communities and loved the idea of creating and posting his art quite regularly on his Instagram handle. Social media is a boon to all talented people to create and connect with a larger community just by sitting at home and reaching out to display their talents.
He is very lucky by having his family supporting in all walks of his life and has always encourages him to glide high up in the sky. He gave all the credit of his success to the family. He asserts that without his family, he did not have such bits and bytes of success and fame in his life. His special brother too gave him a wonderful care and support in both shade and sun. He has the best friends too that gave him the strength and belief to aim high and never lose the temptation for the sketching.
He also wants that any person carrying substance of talent should not remain as heads down. They need to use different platforms so that the young and blooming talents get desired and deserved appreciation and support. Their growing talents should not die down within its seed but need to be polished more enough to work continued without any further ifs and buts. He also suggests that both government and local community should come forward and set some platforms to harvest the talents of upcoming artists.
