SRINAGAR: Apni Party Youth State Secretary Salman Butt on Wednesday along with Apni Party Youth General Secretary Muzaffar Reshi distributed masks and sanitizers among the street vendors and hawkers.
This distribution drive added another chapter to the previous similar drives in which hospitals and market hubs were focused on.
Issuing a statement here, Salman said that it’s due to the collective efforts with which we can stop the spread of this vicious contagion that has wreaked havoc on humanity on a global scale.
“The economies are sinking everywhere while people still continue to lose their loved ones because of this dreaded viral infection. All we need to do is to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines that have been chalked out by the Government,” he stressed.
He said that the motive behind organising such drives is to make people realise that the world is still under the grip of a pandemic and until the human population is holistically inoculated, letting off the guard means to re-allow the Covid-19 to cause havoc.
“Apni Party Youth Wing is always concerned about such vital issues and with these programs we like to inspire our youth who can equally play an important role in this fight against Covid-19 disease,” he said.
Muzaffar Reshi, Apni Party General Secretary, also distributed the masks and termed such distribution drives the need of the hour.
“Whenever we see the Covid-19 wave has receded, people become impervious in regards to following the requisite SOP’s and thus such an attitude results in emergence of a new deadly wave. The timing of this distribution drive is extremely appropriate,” Reshi remarked.
Salman was also accompanied by various youth leaders and party volunteers.
