J&KERA gives warm send off to Er. Javed Iqbal Tara

Javed Iqbal Tara, Director, Kashmir JKERA who today attained the superannuation from the Govt. Service after serving for 37 years was accorded a warm send off by JKERA.

Known for his affable nature, Er. Javed Iqbal Tara joined J&KERA in March,2019 when various sub-projects executed under the ADB (Asian Development Bank) funded JKUSDIP (Jammu & Kashmir Urban Sector Development Investment programme) were in the crucial stage of execution and the officer played a key role in the completion of the many key projects- Jehangir-Chowk –Rambagh Flyover, TRC grade Seperator and many mega storm water drainage projects in 2019. Following the succesfull completion of the ADB funded JKUSDIP in 2018-19.

Er . Javed was also instrumental in getting most of works started under World Bank funded JTFRP immediately after the post-COVID-19 Lockdown which include improvement and upgradation of many road projects across valley, rigid concrete pavement roads, construction of additional hospital block at Lal Ded Maternity Hospital, Construction of Additional Hospital block at Barzulla in Srinagar and many mega drainage projects in Srinagar City under JTFRP.

Er. Javed Iqbal Tara joined the R&B, Kashmir (PWD) in 1984 as Junior Engineer and has served in the various positions during his service spanning over 37 years.

During his career he served in various capacities as Assistant Engineer, PWD (R&B) sub-divison (Sopore), Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Divisions Sopore & Handwara.

During his tenure (10) vital bridge projects were completed in Rafiabad area of Baramulla District.

Later in his career as Supertintending Engineer PWD (R&B) Baramulla/ Kupwara were he undertook with success the procurement process of the various key road connectivity and other infrastructure project and maintaining the quality control checks of works.

Er. Javed Iqbal was subsequently promoted as Chief Engineer in the year 2019 and posted as the Director Kashmir, J&KERA
