Srinagar: The local residents in Madanyar/ Shallayar, Habba Kadal area of Srinagar are exasperated over Reliance Jio’s poor mobile connectivity particularly during the evening and night hours.
The locals said that the poor network amid low internet speed in the entire area is giving the enormous hardships to the people living in the locality.
Muzaffar Wani, a local resident from the area told Kashmir Glacier that, “We have been suffering badly due to frequent call drops and poor internet connectivity due to the week network in the area which is usually experienced after 6:00 Pm onwards till the next day’s morning.”
He said that many subscribers have raised complaints with the company’s representative via helpline numbers but nothing has been done by the officials to ease the hardships of the people living in the area.
He further added, “Despite repeated attempts, concerned authorities have failed to resolve the issue.”
Arooj Gulzar, another resident from the area preparing for her UPSC civil services told Kashmir Glacier that, “Jio has terribly failed in providing the service despite charging hefty sums from us and the poor services has added woes to our sufferings at this crucial juncture.”
She said that from over a year, the area of Habba Kadal has been ignored by the company on providing the promised services.
She further added, “It is miserable, unfortunate, suffocating and unfortunate that poor Jio services has been hindering our preparations for our upcoming exams and in this regard we request the concerned officials of the company to kindly resolve this problem at earliest to end the sufferings of hundreds of its subscribers.”
