POEM

Feed my scared soul
The scintillating spark
Of hope and joy.
Wrap the fresh wounds
Of my agonised heart with
the tint of a peaceful craving.
The abrasion on my laughter
Is anew yet with a pain,
So excruciating, so poignant.
Let you cover the blemishes
With the tinsels of rays of glory.
It plundered the beauty
Of its charm and tranquillity.
Let you renew the lost serenity
And make the sleeping birds
To sing melodious songs of
Emancipation and achievement.
Let you ensure the innocence
Doesn’t again fall prey
To the feigned generosity .
Oh New year! Come with a panacea
For the afflictions the past gifted us.
