Budgam, Nov 26 : Lashing out at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) for calling PAGA a gang, former minister and J&K Peoples Movement president Javaid Mustafa Mir Thursday said that if the alliance leaders are gangsters, how they are allowed to sit in the Parliament.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mir, who is a member of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), JKPM president and former PDP leader from Chadoora constituency, said that every politician in PAGD had contested elections according to the constitution of the Government of India.

“If PAGD leaders are gangsters, how they are allowed to sit in the Parliament,” Mir questioned.

Speaking to media persons after daughter-in-law of senior National Conference leader Ali Muhammad Dar Insha Showkat filed her nomination papers from Chadoora Panchayat block to contest the forthcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections, Mir said: “PAGD has fielded NC candidate from this block that is reserved for the woman candidate.”

He said: “PAGD has a clear message for the people of Kashmir that which is that we are fighting together for the better development of our people and to defeat those forces who are against us.”—(KNO)
