Kupwara, Nov 25 : Two persons including the driver and an on-board employee sustained injuries after an ambulance vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road in Kalaroos area of this north-Kashmir district on Wednesday evening.
SHO Kalaroos Tanveer Ahmad while confirming the incident told GNS that an ambulance vehicle bearing Registration number JK-09A 6551 met with an accident this evening at Sarkulli area of Kalaroos.

In the accident, as per the official, ambulance driver identified as Abdul Rashid Lone son of Ghulam Qadir residence Kalaroos and another on-board health department employee Mohammad Maqbool Mochi son of Abdul Sattar sustained injuries.
“The vehicle was on its way from district headquarters Kupwara to ferry patients from Z-Gali”, the official said adding “however soon after reaching Sarkulli skidded off the road more probably due to rough terrain coupled with persistent downpour along the stretch.”

“Both the injured persons were removed to Primary Health Centre Kalaroos wherefrom they have been shifted to sub-District hospital Kupwara for advanced treatment”, the official added. (GNS)
