22-year-old fisherman’s body recovered in Kulgam

 

Kulgam: The body of a 22-year-old fisherman man was recovered by police in Tangmarg area of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday evening.

Official sources told the news agency KNO that some locals spotted the body lying on the bank of the water body near Kong Wattan, Aharbal and informed police about it.

A police team immediately reached the spot and took the body to District Hospital Kulgam for medico-legal formalities, sources said.

They identified the deceased as Shabir Ahmad Dhoie, son of Bashir Ahmad Dhoie of Tangmarg Kulgam.

Shabir was fishing when he fell down into a water body, they said. “A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up,” they added. (KNO)
