Unknown persons chopped down apple trees in Anantnag

Anantnag: Unknown persons chopped off trees in an apple orchard in Krandigam area of Bijbehara town in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Locals claimed that during intervening night off Saturday-Sunday miscreants damaged an apple orchard of Showkat Ahmed Parray.

Showkat Ahmed Parray is a chowkidar in the same village has actively been involved in the destruction of Bhang (weed) along with officials in the area.

Pertinently, this is not the first time that apple orchards have been damaged by miscreants in South Kashmir. (The Kashmiriyat)
