Srinagar, Sep 29, : Joint Forces in a nocturnal raid arrested a ‘militant sympathizer’ and recovered an assault rifle from his possession in Batamaloo area of Srinagar city.
Sources said that raid was conducted in the dead of the night at Diyarwani area of Batamaloo Srinagar.
Sources added that Police and CRPF during searches apprehended an alleged over ground worker and recovered an AK-47 rifle from him.
The alleged OGW has been identified as 20 year old Tufail Ahmed Bhat of Diyarwani Batamaloo.
When contacted, an official feigned ignorance about the incident, however, local sources confirmed the arrest of youth along with assault rifle.
