Army Supports Local Orphanage By Providing Children With Winter Clothes

Srinagar: Under the aegis of 31 Sub Area with a motive to assist orphan girls, 20 Rashtriya Rifles (DOGRA) conducted an event in which winter clothing items were distributed to 26 girl students of ‘J&K Sheikh-ul-Alam Yateem Khana’. The noble gesture was appreciated by the students and the staff of the orphanage. Col Praveen Kumar, Commanding Officer, 20 Rastriya Rifles (DOGRA) emphasised on optimum use of opportunities and encouraged the girl students to pursue higher education and become beacons of success in the society. He motivated the children to strive for greater heights and assured all present that every possible assistance which is needed will be provided to empower them to carve a better future for themselves.
It was a small step by the Army as a ‘Humsaya’ which would bring comfort, joy and happiness in their lives. Col Praveen Kumar, interacted with students & the staff and emphasised that the formation has always been committed and stayed in forefront by contributing to all sections of populace.
