Poonch, Sep 18: A woman was on Friday injured during the cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch village in Jammu division.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Friday evening at around 04:45 PM, Pakistan army violated ceasefire from Nakiyal area and resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling, targeting the area of Balakote in Mendhar of Poonch district.
“Shelling with mortars and firing with small arms started in the evening,” officials said, adding that a woman identified as Mehnaz Akhter, in her mid 30s, who is a resident of Panjni Balakote got injured after she received splinters of bomb fired by Pak army, which exploded near her house—(KNO)
