Pak Army shells LoC villages in Poonch: Army


Poonch, Sep 11: Army on Friday said that Pakistani Army violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district for second consecutive day and targeted the areas in Mankote and Balakote.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Pak Army violated ceasefire and fired both small arms as well as mortars in areas of Poonch’s Mendhar sub division.

“Mankote and Balakote areas of Mendhar sub division got affected due to shelling from across with intermittent shelling from across still going on,” officials said.

They informed that two shops have also received partial damages in the shelling.

Army said that Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in areas of Mendhar Mankote, which was retaliated befittingly—(KNO)
