Qazigund, Sep 10 : A seven-year-old girl was crushed to death on Thursday while the locals also staged protest against the incident in Damjan village of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Police sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a tractor (without registration number) crushed a seven-year-old girl to death near Damjan. They identified the deceased girl as Zareena Jan, daughter of Shabir Ahmad Bhat of Damjan Qazigund.
Soon after the incident, the locals blocked blocked link road at Damjan where these tractor and tipper drivers carry construction materials.
Locals said authorities must block this road for heavy motor vehicle. The protest was going on when the report was last filed—(KNO)
