Grenade attack in Anantnag, two CRPF troopers injured

Anantnag, Sep 9: Suspected militants on Wednesday evening attacked the government forces deployed near Lal Chowk area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that suspected militants lobbed a grenade on 40 battalion of CRPF troops deployed in Lal Chowk Anantnag.

In the attack, two CRPF personnel’s received minor injuries who were shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment.

The injured CRPF men were identified as Constable Chander Pal and head constable Sunil Kumar.

A police official while confirming the incident to new agency KDC said that the whole area has been sealed and the manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers. (KDC)
