2 Doctors, 56 travellers among 641 new Cov-19 cases in J&K, Total 38,864

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported 641 fresh cases of Covid-19 including 56 travellers taking the total number of positive cases to 38,864 in the JK UT.
Of the total 38,864 cases, 29,568 are from Kashmir and 9,296 from Jammu division. Officials told Kashmir Glacier, among 641 new cases, 367 belong to Kashmir division while as 274 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 29,568 including 23,353 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 9,296 including 6,726 recoveries and 75 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 8,053 including 5,558 from Kashmir division and 2,495 from Jammu division.
With 595 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 30,079 which is 77.39 percent of the total cases.
Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 9,499 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 9,296.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 131 from Srinagar, 22 from Baramulla, 16 from Pulwama, 56 from Budgam, 30 from Anantnag, 27 from Bandipora, 18 from Kupwara, 11 from Kulgam, 02 from Shopian and 54 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 274 from Jammu division includes 167 from Jammu, 14 from Rajouri, 19 from Kuthua, 08 from Udhampur, 14 from Samba, 07 from Ramban, 08 from Doda, 14 from Poonch, 16 from Reasi and 07 from Kishtiwar,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 9,499 positive cases including 225 deaths and 7,811 recoveries are from Srinagar, 2,862 including 100 deaths and 2,288 recoveries are from Baramulla, 2,700 including 2,167 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Pulwama, 2,580 including 1,837 recoveries and 62 deaths are from Budgam, 2,389 including 51 deaths and 1,880 recoveries are from Anantnag, 2,235 including 1,507 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Bandipora, 2,135 cases including 1,511 and 49 deaths are from Kupwara, 1,944 including 1,755 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Kulgam, 1,703 including 1,597 recoveries and 28 deaths are from Shopian and 1,521 including 1,070 recoveries and 24 deaths are reportedly from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 3,576 including 2,124 recoveries and 50 deaths are from Jammu district, 934 including 785 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Rajouri, 951 including 716 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Kuthua, 849 including 683 recoveries and 03 deaths are from Udhampur, 738 including 557 recoveries and 03 deaths are from Samba, 661 including 640 recoveries and 01 death are from Ramban, 445 including 356 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Doda, 450 including 336 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Poonch, 423 including 335 recoveries are from Reasi and 269 including 194 recoveries and 01 death are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 4, 67,207 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 46,228 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 8,053 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 366,216 persons have completed surveillance period and 45,978 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 996,481 samples are available.
Out of 996,481 the number of samples tested negative stands at 957,617 while 38,864 have tested positive, among them 8,053 are active and 30,079 persons have recovered.
