Srinagar: The dead body of a Panch allegedly affiliated with BJP who was missing since 19 August this month has been found buried in Dangam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. The Panch has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Bhat alias Kobra who is the resident of Khonmou Srinagar.
Sources told news agency KNT that police recovered the body of Nisar Ahmed on Friday morning. The body according to sources was half buried.
“The body has been of Khonmou Panch Nisar Ahmed,” a police official confirmed.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat, the brother of the missing Panch had filed a missing report at police station Pantha Chowk in this regard.
Pertinently, BJP Spokesperson Altaf Thakur had refuted the claims that Nisar Bhat alias Kobra was affiliated with BJP.
Earlier a purported audio made rounds on social media in which a suspected militant claimed that they put Nisar Ahmed to death as he was involved in anti-militancy activities.
Multiple cases stand also registered against the deceased for his alleged involvement in different crimes in different police stations. (KNT)
