Bandipora, Aug 27: A 50-year-old woman was critically injured on Thursday after being shot at by her husband in Shokbaba village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said.
A police official told news agency KDC that a retired army captain, Gulam Rasool shot at his wife fatima with a 12 bore gun in Shokbaba village today wee hours.
Soon after the incident she was immediately shifted to the district hospital Bandipora, with critical head injuries,
he said.
After initial treatment she was referred to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment and her condition was stated to be critical.
He said that a case under relevant sections of laws has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.(KDC)
