Police detains several PDP leaders in Srinagar


Srinagar, August 27: Several People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders were detained by police in summer capital city Srinagar for protesting against “detention of political prisoners, harassment of youth and media gag in the region.”

In its official Twitter handle PDP party said, Police stops peaceful protest of @jkpdp leaders against the detention of political prisoners, the harassment of youth, the gag on media & rights violations.

Police has now detained PDP leaders Rouf Bhat, Hamid Qousheen, Shanti Singh, Arif Laigroo & Mohd Amin. (KINS)
