Elderly man injured in Bear attack dies

 

Tral, Aug 16: An elderly man who was injured in an attack by a bear in Khana Gund Tral area of Pulwama district on Friday died in Srinagar hospital today.

Sources told KNT that 60 year old man was grazing the cattle in the upper reaches of Tral when the bear attacked him.

An official said following the attack, some people raised hue and cry and rescued him from the wild animal. However, the victim sustained serious face injuries.

“The injured was shifted to hospital but today he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Gani Sheikh son of Abdul Wahab, a resident of Khangund Tral. (KNT)
