India, Australia Swap Hosting Rights for T20 World Cup, ODI Women’s World Cup Postponed: Reports

New DelhiThe BCCI and Cricket Australia have, according to reports, agreed to swap hosting rights for the T20 World Cup. The ICC, in July, was forced into postponing the tournament due to the effect of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
India will now host the 2021 T20 World Cup, which was initially scheduled to be played during October-November this year in Australia.
With India hosting the next edition of the T20 World Cup, Australia will now play hosts to the 2022 edition of the ICC tournament. Earlier this year, Australia hosted the Women’s T20 World Cup which the hosts won after beating India in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Along with this, Women’s ODI World Cup has also been postponed to 2022. The Women’s ODI World Cup was scheduled to be held in New Zealand between February 6 and March 7 2021. In the previous edition, England and India had played the final at Lord’s and the hosts had come out victorious.
