Work of Journalist, an orbit for different professionals

Now-a-days we are aware of many professionals like Teacher, Engineer, Businessman, Doctor, Etc. No doubt we do respect to all of them but actually they revolves around the orbit of “Journalist”. The work of Journalist is an orbit reward for all of the humanities from created. The work of journalist is related with Journalism. All of we are well known about the definition of Journalism or Mass Communication.
Some of the famous media institutions and scholars define Journalism as a craft, a profession and even as a cultural industry and a business. It is the activity of gathering, assessing and creating and presenting news and information. It is also the product of these activities. Those who practice Journalism are known as journalists.
By the term Journalism we mean to study the Journals, those journals in print or as an etiquette of writing news which possesses a sense within the local masses and people around. Over three centuries it has remained as an art of reportage. It is the traits of expressing freedom of expression and speech in there fulcrum but in a polite and posh manner.
In modern times there are various means like Newspaper, TV, Radio, digital technology for perceiving Journalism. It creates an environment of social understanding into which one likes. So, for the first time the subject and functioning of Journalism came into force. It is the work of journalists to create powerful, intimate stories that takes people beyond the boundaries of their own life experiences and connect them with the current situations and reshaping world on a daily basis. Journalists in search of news sometimes needs to be a reporter, photographer, videographer as well as an editor and producer of stories.
That every event happening which makes a sense of social understanding and makes a difference into day-to-day lives of People, qualifies as news. There are some elements required for the qualification and acceptance of a piece of message or information as a news. So, as per of being it such diverse and dynamic there stands no proper definition for a news.
A news needs to be worthy. It should possess some significance and value of understanding. Not every piece of message and information can be accepted as news. That is why, a news requires worthiness, importance, credibility and authenticity. It should be current in time, it should not be stale (outdated). Even if it is stale and old every time, when it is rewritten something new should come up into that. That is what we call news timeliness.
Whatever information is fed to the masses as news primarily requires to be pretty and very much credible. An information given vaguely is nothing but a fake news. A news needs to first confirmed wholly and then conveyed to the masses. Because, a news is like a promise of truth being given to the public.
“And say: Truth has now arrived, and Falsehood has perished: for Falsehood by its very own nature is bound to perish.” Holy Quran: Chapter 17 Verse 81.
Journalists are social workers and work for betterment of society. The value of Journalism flows from its purpose, to provide people with verified information, that people can use to make better decisions, and its practices, the most important of which is a discipline of verification, that journalists use to find not just the facts, but also the” truth about the facts”. The work of Journalist is to communicate with the large masses, that communication can be used to control the behaviour of Human beings. Journalist is always helpful to the people in the current situations as we know, all countries of the world have been hit by the dreaded coronavirus that originated in China’s city Wuhan. According to a report 80% cases of deaths in china were found in people over 60 years of age. According to a report by World Health Organisation WHO, the virus infected the elderly with more than the young. Journalist encourage and motivated people about wants, likes and dislikes, choices and aspirations to live better and health. Researchers are making good progress in controlling the coronavirus cases in the world and are trying to develop the vaccines against covid-19 with different trails, but their first use cannot be expected until early 2021, as said by world health organisation expert before few days.
Prior to the lockdown, livelihoods are hurting and unemployment rates are rising. But removing the lockdown would mean a new outbreak of the pandemic. Indian Journalists said that, “The India has to be prepare itself for a series of repeated sanctions and then bring it back”.
Journalists do a lot of hard-work in dreaded coronavirus, they make us better aware about Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), it is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. Journalists used to communicate a lot, as we know communication is a tool, a means, a Process and is crucial factor in living beings. Attitudes of a person are matters of meaning and can be known only through communication. As we cannot dare to play with electric bulb, we must not play with our lives by taking covid-19 easy case. Journalists are communicating and informing everyone equally about the following precautionary coronavirus measures:
Don’t be miss informative. Don’t take joke. Don’t take fun. Don’t take easy. Don’t take common debate. Don’t take match commentary. Don’t break the rules. Don’t break your efforts. Don’t trust strangers. Don’t say placebo treatment. Wash your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell. Break the chain, stay at home, help at home, travel online at home, and follow all the precautionary measures that is contribution to the society.
Journalist are making efforts to change or influence the attitude and behaviour of others. He always use better arguments to win and convince others. People believe what is said or written by a reputable and respected Journalist. This is known as source credibility. They help the individual to know the viewpoint of various people, which help him to evaluate an issue.
We all know that people are the same all over the world. Our difference are usually by – the way we speak, the way we dress and the colour of our skins. Otherwise we all have the same feelings, same fears, worries and difficulties. Once we accept this, we can get rid of covid-19.
