Q. How do you see the situation in Kashmir after completing a year on Article 370’s revocation?
A. The situation in Kashmir is in the progressive stage as a lot of schemes are being introduced to the people of the region who were left unaware about those schemes in the past. After revocation of Article 370 a lot of Centre sponsored schemes are in pipeline which will directly benefit the financially downtrodden people of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Q. Since abrogation of Article 370, what has changed in J&K’s politics?
A. A lot of things have been changed after the revocation of Article 370 in the region as people of the region won’t be fooled by the local regional parties anymore on the pretext of special status and all that.

Q. What are your expectations from the current government?
A. As the current government is directly benefiting the people of the region without any intervention, the current government can unfurl a lot of opportunities for the youth along with the consideration of all-round development in the region which has left in lurch by the previous political regimes in Valley.

Q. Some reports have suggested that the Centre might go for assembly elections in the Union Territory of J&K. Will the BJP participate in these elections?
A. Definitely we are going to participate in Assembly elections and the best among us will lead all, we are very much sure that we will bring a new dawn in the region by bringing a corrupt and bias free government to the region. We are going to win in Kashmir no matter what and we will win to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We will do everything in our personal capacity for the betterment of our people.

Q. The National Conference has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Centre’s decision? What’s your party’s stance on this?
A. National Conference is free to do whatever they want and the honourable Supreme Court’s decision will always be in the best interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Our party’s stance is crystal clear regarding the development and prosperity of Kashmir.

Q. For the past few days, all of the sudden, political leaders have started speaking about revocation of Art 370? Is that a matter of concern for BJP?
A. The regional political parties out of their frustration are bragging about the abrogation of Article 370 as we have put an end to the ancestral ruling of some regional parties who were looting the people out of nothing. The BJP has made clear that the party will serve people not by fermenting trouble in the valley but we will work for maintaining peace and prosperity in the region which has witnessed numerous political blunders in the past.
