10-yr old boy drowns in Jhelum in Baramulla

Uri: A 10-year old boy drowned in river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, officials said.
According to Moomin Javed son of Javed Chalkoo resident of Baramulla drowned when he was taken bath in river Jhelum.
Soon after the news spread in the area, teams comprising of Police and Civil administration besides local volunteers reached the spot and started rescue operation. However the body was not fished out till last reports came in.
SHO Uri Ashraf Ahmad confirmed the incident to KNS and said rescue operation is underway. (KNS)
