Srinagar, July 26 : Assistant sub-inspector of J&K police among three fresh COVID19 related deaths reported in J&K on Sunday morning, taking total fatalities count in UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir to 311.

Official said that three patients who died due to virus include 80-year-old man from beerwah Budgam, 53-year-old from kandi khaas village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and 75-year-old lady from Karanbagh Jammu.

An official at CD Hospital said  that an old-aged patient from budgam was admitted on 18 July with community acquired pneumonia, sccumbed on Sunday morning.

He added that 53-year-old that a patient from Kupwara was admitted in the hospital on 24 July with HTN, diabetes, bilateral pneumonia, sccumbed on wee hours on Sunday.

Official Sources said that 53-year-old from Kandi khaas was assistant sub-inspector of J&K police and was posted at trehgam police station.

She expired at 12:30 am on Sunday, her swab for COVID19 test was taken on 20 July, which returned positive on 24 July, official added.

With three new deaths on Sunday, the death toll related to COVID19 has climbed to 311 in UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir, 288 in Kashmir division and 23 from Jammu division.
