‘Senior Separatist leader lashed out at Indian media in a series of tweets from his official Twitter handle’
Srinagar: On Monday the senior separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani announced his separation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).
The senior most separatist leader decided to quit Chairmanship of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) citing the reason of party’s “mismanagement” because of its members.
Syed Ali Shah Geelani is assumed to have cited “rebellion against leadership” by cadres as one of the reasons of quitting All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).
“Looking at the current situation of All Party Hurriyat Conference, I announce my resignation from this forum. Units have been informed by a letter,” he said
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) is an alliance of over two dozen social-political and religious organisations and the news about the separation of S.A.S Geelani spread much like a wild fire which evoked a mixed response by People from all walks of life.
Soon after his announcement over the separation from the APHC, the octogenarian separatist leader launched an attack on India media for “Fake Propaganda” via his official twitter handle.
In his first tweet, Geelani tweeted, “It is in response to the fake propaganda of Indian Media and conscious less elite, let me clarify that my separation from APHC doesn’t mean my separation from the sacred movement of right to self determination. @narendramodi #Kashmir.”
In his second tweet the octogenarian leader tweeted, “My commitment to the freedom struggle runs through my blood. there is no force on earth that can keep me away from protecting the cause of the thousands of the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the noble cause of the freedom.”
And in an another tweet he said, “Say (O Muhammad): “Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin(worlds).@PMOIndia #Kashmir”. (Kashmir Glacier)
